Start your day with a chef inspired gourmet breakfast with a different menu every day, made from the freshest local and seasonal ingredients. Enjoy homemade and hearty fare, fresh fruit and juices, tasty egg and vegetable dishes, oatmeal brulee, cabernet french toast, handmade croissants and muffins, tempting potato dishes, thick-cut bacon, savory sausages, and more. Coffee lovers will appreciate our “Inn St. Helena Blend”, specially roasted and blended for us and available from the Napa Valley Roasting Company, a local favorite.

If you have any dietary restrictions, please be sure to let us know in advance and we will adjust accordingly to suit your specific dietary needs.

Due to our dining room capacity, sit-down breakfast might be only offered for the guests staying at our main house, the Ambrose Bierce House; or to the first fourteen guests who signed up for the in-house breakfast. In those rare situations when we are not able to accommodate you for in-house breakfast, we offer breakfast coupons at Model Bakery Cafe located only a block away.
If you booked our rooms via vacation rental sites, your rates may not include breakfast. Please let us know if you would like to add breakfast at the time of your booking.

Wine and Appetizers

For our direct booking guests with the full-service option, during your stay, a complimentary wine and cheese platter with cured meats, local cheeses, tasty crackers, and other delights will be served upon request between 5 PM and 6 PM. This service is provided once during your stay. Please note that 24 hours notice is required and be sure to specify which day during your stay you would like this service. 

Concierge 

Let our concierge assist you with making dinner or lunch reservations, winery and travel suggestions and other recommendations to better enhance your stay. We’ll help you with securing transportation and tour guides, decide on a particular destination, and make any other special arrangements that you might request. If you ask, we can ship wine directly from our Inn to anywhere in the country from our own reliable vendor.

Extra Touch

We offer gift packages for any special occasion or someone that may include flowers, sparkling wine (champagne), chocolates or variety gift baskets, or any combination thereof. Contact us directly ahead of time for the particulars and we’ll have your gift waiting upon arrival.
